Providing safe Internet for children – while they browse www pages or use mobile applications – should be one of our priorities. Reality and virtual world may seem as one. This approach may lead to problems with telling the available contents apart and noncritical copying of actions from the virtual world in our everyday reality.
It is us, the grown ups, who must care about the right access to the Internet for our children. In the case of small children, blocking of suspicious content and time limits should be used. Older children and teenagers need those safety measures, too, but most of all, they ought to be educated within the area of safe modern technology usage. Proper education enables to adjust the limits of control.
At the same time, adults should support the choices made by the child, make him/her aware of certain things and react to dangerous and suspicious situations.
